Screening and processing of raw materials
Before the raw materials enter the granulation system, the particle size varies greatly, which will have a great impact on the ball formation rate and homogenization degree.
In order to ensure that the nutrients of the finished fertilizer are uniform, the particle size is appropriate, and the formation rate is high, the raw materials will be crushed and crushed during the production process. Usually, mixed fertilizer particles require that all raw materials are less than 0.55mm. Bulk blended fertilizer plants require fertilizer particle sizes to vary greatly, generally between 1 and 3.35mm depending on different situations. The production of encapsulated fertilizers requires that instant granular fertilizers (such as urea, ammonium nitrate, potash fertilizers, etc.) are uniform particles, and the particle size of various raw materials used in the encapsulation layer is less than 0.18mm. The processing methods are also different for different fertilizer materials.

Screening and separation of finished products
After granulation, drying, and cooling, semi-finished compound fertilizers cannot be packaged directly. First, the particle size caused by different granulation equipment is different. Second, the granulated products will be damaged to varying degrees during the drying and cooling process. Therefore, the particle size of semi-finished compound fertilizers is very uneven and does not meet the requirements of 1~4.75mm particle size of finished fertilizers. With the changes in the market, people have also put forward higher requirements for the uniformity of finished product particles. Through the screening machine, fertilizer particle size 2~3mm and 3~4.5mm screening can be achieved.

Types of screening equipment
In fertilizer production, commonly used screening machines mainly include two types: drum screening machines and vibrating screening machines.
Drum screening machine: A drum screening machine is a kind of working principle that adopts rotary screening. Through the rotating motion of the drum, the raw materials are screened and graded on the screen. Larger particles are discharged from the screen holes under the action of centrifugal force, and fine particles enter the aggregate port below through the screen. The drum screening machine is suitable for various granular materials and has the characteristics of high screening efficiency, simple operation and easy maintenance.
Vibrating screening machine: The vibrating screening machine uses the raw materials of vibration screening to perform multi-layer screening of materials. The vibration motor generates vibration force, so that the screen body moves under the action of vibration, thereby realizing the screening and grading of raw materials. It has the advantages of high efficiency, less blockage of screen holes, large processing capacity and low noise.
