Organic compound fertilizer granulation is an important process in the dry powder granulation process. Bulk fertilizer raw materials can be made into granules, making the fertilizer easy to apply, transport, and store, thereby improving fertilizer utilization and fertilizer quality.
In addition to producing organic fertilizer, compound fertilizer, and inorganic fertilizer, fertilizer granulators can also be used to produce controlled-release fertilizer and slow-release fertilizer granules. Provide convenient, efficient, and environmentally friendly fertilizer processing solutions for agriculture.
Granulation Principle
Disc granulator: A disc granulator is a granulator that installs a disc obliquely on the central axis located in the center of the disc, and the central axis is supported on the bearing of the frame and is driven to rotate by a transmission device. The gravity and centrifugal force generated by the disc during rotation cause the small particle group to roll toward the lower edge of the disc and continuously adhere to the powder, gradually forming a spherical particle material.
After multiple cycles, the particles are from large to small, and the particles that reach the finished particle size overflow from the edge of the disc.
Rotary Drum granulator: The drum granulator adopts steam heating, and has a special rubber lining inside, which has good anti-sticking properties. The material enters the drum through the feed port and gradually forms round fertilizer particles while rolling and throwing inside the drum. The formed granules are discharged from the discharge port to complete the granulation process. The finished particles need to be further dried to increase the hardness of the fertilizer granules.
There are some differences and characteristics between disc granulators and rotary drum granulators in working principle, granulation effect, application scope, and equipment structure. You can choose the appropriate granulation equipment according to factors such as raw material moisture content, production capacity, cost budget, etc.
