Simple Organic Fertilizer Production Line: Composting, Mixing & Granulating

2026-09-09
Latest company news about Simple Organic Fertilizer Production Line: Composting, Mixing & Granulating

For agricultural farms and startup fertilizer businesses, building a fully automated industrial plant with thermal drying and coating systems can require high initial capital.A simplified 3-step organic fertilizer line focuses strictly on the three most critical processing phases: Composting -- Mixing -- Granulating. By streamlining the flow, you significantly lower equipment purchase costs, reduce electricity consumption, and simplify daily plant operations while producing high-quality commercial organic fertilizer pellets.

The Core 3-Step Production Flow
This streamlined setup eliminates expensive rotary drying and cooling equipment, relying on natural air drying or low-moisture dry compaction to finish granules:

[Raw Manure / Crop Waste] ──► [Step 1: Aerobic Composting]
                                           │
                                           ▼
[Semi-Wet Material Crusher] ──► [Step 2: Double Shaft Mixing]
                                           │
                                           ▼
[Finished Organic Pellets] ◄── [Step 3: Granulation / Pelletizing]

Step 1: Aerobic Composting & Fermentation

Proper composting stabilizes raw manure (chicken, cow, or pig dung) and organic waste, killing pathogens, weed seeds, and foul odors.

Self-Propelled Windrow Turner: Operates on open concrete pads. The machine straddles triangular windrow piles of manure and straw, lifting, oxygenating, and re-stacking the compost to accelerate aerobic fermentation (20–30 days).

Groove-Type Hydraulic Turner Option: Installed inside a covered workshop over concrete channels. Heavy-duty paddles lift and turn compost efficiently for farms with limited open pad space.

Step 2: Pulverization & Homogeneous Mixing

Once composting is complete, the material must be crushed and blended into a uniform powder baseline.

Semi-Wet Material Crusher: Standard mills clog when handling damp compost (30%–40% moisture). A screenless semi-wet crusher pulverizes sticky manure cakes and organic lumps into a fine 40–80 mesh powder without blinding.

Horizontal Double Shaft Mixer: Pulverized compost enters a continuous double shaft mixer. Overlapping paddle blades thoroughly blend the organic base with functional bio-inoculants, humic acid, or supplementary NPK mineral elements within 2 to 3 minutes.

Step 3: Granulation (Pelletizing)

Converting powdery compost into dense 2–5mm granules increases product bulk density, eliminates airborne dust, and makes field spreading much easier.

Option A: New-Type Organic Fertilizer Granulator (Wet Process)

Best For: Damp composted animal manure.

How It Works: Internal high-speed rotating pins apply continuous mechanical agitation and centrifugal force to damp organic powder, forming high-density spherical pellets without chemical binders.

Option B: Double Roller Extrusion Granulator (Dry Compaction Process)

Best For: Low-moisture compost or dry organic/NPK blends (<10% moisture).

How It Works: Twin counter-rotating forged alloy rollers apply 15–30 MPa hydraulic pressure to press dry powder directly into solid flakes, which break into dense granules—completely eliminating the need for drying.
